Chappell Roan x Lisa Frank
Concert Collaboration Proposal

Inspired by the nostalgic branding of Lisa Frank, and the 80's retro style music of Chappell Roan, this proposal embraces the energetic excitement of both brands. Stepping into an industry trend of regionally inspired concert posters that vary by venue, this individualized set utilized visual components of the Lisa Frank color scheme and design, while also featuring a portrait of a colorful Chappell front and center.

LISA FRANK 2024

Since Lisa Frank's "retirement" and eventual revival in 2020, they have leaned into the nostalgia of the 90's. A lot of brands they have previously collaborated with often overap as the same consumers who had Lisa Frank school supplies bought for them in their childhoods. This includes brands like Casetify, Morphe and Crocs, two of which are brands Chappell Roan already owns and supports.

Visually communicating the nostalgic feeling through faded shades of acid wash pink, a Polaroid shaped frame, handwritten type & a regional illustration reminiscent of old rainbow scratch coloring pads. 

CHOOSING LOCATION

Mirroring the crash success of Pearl Jam and their regional specific posters that sell wildly even today, these are designed in the eccentric, feminine style like that of Chappell Roan herself. Choosing outdoor amphitheaters was intentionally done to create immediacy with an audience that may not be familiar with Chappell, but would recognize the beauty and form found in these more natural settings.
